Luis Berenguer, Honorary Member of the Colombian Association of Competition Law

LBF_1Luis Berenguer, senior advisor in the Competition Department of BROSETA, has been named an honorary member of the Colombian Association of Competition Law, a designation that has been given unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Association “in view of the outstanding contributions to the research and development of Competition Law” by Luis Berenguer.

With this designation, which took place on the 10th of September in the city of Bogotá, Berenguer has been invited to participate, by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce of Colombia, in the third International Congress on Free Economic Competition, which will be held in the city of Barranquilla from the 21st  to the 23rd of October.

Luis will be one of only two European speakers participating in the Conference, along with Pierre Horna, of UNCTAD (the National Organisation to Drive International Trade), and will participate in the presentation “Exchange of information between Competitors”, one of the most important issues currently facing Competition Law in Europe.

The meeting will also include the participation of leading figures in the country such as President Juan Manuel Santos; Cecilia Álvarez-Correa, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Tomás González, Minister of Energy; Luis Felipe Henao, Minister of Housing; Luis José Diez-Canseco, President of the Court of Justice of the Andean Community; Felipe Irarrázabal, National Prosecutor; Juan Martín Caicedo, President of the Colombian Chamber of Infrastructure, and Luis Fernando Andrade, Director of the National Agency of Infrastructure (ANI), among others.
