BROSETA participates in IBA’s annual investment fund conference

Julio Veloso, partner of BROSETA, and director of the M&A and Private Funds practice, has participated in a new edition of the annual conference on the globalisation of investment funds, organised by the Investment Funds Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), and held between 19th and 21st of May in New York.

The conference, which this year reached its thirtieth edition, aimed to reflect on the main issues of relevance and topicality in the field of investment funds, such as diversity and risk management, Brexit, sustainable investment, the main challenges in terms of planning for future generations, regulated funds and implications of intermediation on platforms, among other issues.

Julio Veloso, senior vice-president of the IBA Investment Funds Committee, moderated the debate on emerging asset classes and strategies, with the participation of Greg Kwiat (from Kwiat Diamonds, New York), Patricia Lizarraga (Hypatia Capital Group, New York), James Rieger (Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt, New York), Joshua Rivera (Blockchain Capital, San Francisco, California) and Simon Thomas (Osborne Clarke, London).
