BROSETA has joined as a sponsor of the initiative Women Experts Platform (first Spanish professional women online platform – www.plataformaexpertas.com). This pioneering initiative aims to promote the presence of women in society and in the media, boost their visibility and improve their social perception, and since its creation at the beginning of 2014 it already has a database of about 350 experts in all professional areas and nearly 200 journalists and registered media.

The platform is a project made up of different associations and federations of managers, entrepreneurs and professionals in Spain (WomenCEO, Anima, Federation of Businesswomen and Professionals BPW Spain, the Women’s Association for dialogue and education, the European network of women professionals EPWM, Womenalia, the Medium of Communication Women & Cía, and the Association of women entrepreneurs and managers of Navarra).

For Ana Lamas, President of the platform and of WomenCEO, Association leader of this initiative, “invisibility is one of the burdens of women. It is damaging to them, but also for companies and academic, scientific or professional institutions where they work and whose achievements are ignored.”

For Eva Levy, Honorary President of the platform and of WomenCEO, “we provide to society the ability to hear the views of women with huge talent on different issues which paves the way for equality, and which is an essential factor for social and economic development, and is also required by European directives and the European 2020 economic recovery Plan. There have been many changes in a few years in this sense” – adds Levy- “and this is already an unstoppable path, but there remains much room for improvement in the company world as regards the role of women in management positions”.

For his part, Luis Trigo, Managing Partner of BROSETA, considered that “the large number of experts who are already part of this platform indicates that there was a clear need to enhance the profile of the leading professional woman. At BROSETA we are very committed in this regard. In fact, three of the five business departments of the firm are run by women, almost 40% of pre-managerial and managerial posts are occupied by women, and more than 60% of the total staff of the firm is composed of women”.

In this sense, the partner of BROSETA, Rosa Vidal; Public law Department the Partner and Head of Employment Law Department, Isabel Merenciano, and the lawyer specializing in technology law, Laura Aliaga, are already part of this platform of women experts.

Recognising the commitment of BROSETA in this area, the Ministry of health, social services and equality has highlighted the work of the firm in the implementation of policies of equality of treatment and opportunity between its professionals and has awarded the firm the distinction of “Equality in business”. BROSETA has worked since 2011 towards the implementation of an equality Plan focused on ensuring respect for the principle of equality of treatment and opportunity between men and women in the bosom of the company through the elimination of any type of discrimination in the workplace, as well as the promotion of equality between the sexes. In addition, at autonomic level BROSETA has the stamp “Doing Business. Equal Opportunities” awarded by the Ministry of welfare of the Valencia Community.
