BROSETA accompanies Expansión in the celebration of its anniversary

For another year, BROSETA has had the pleasure of accompanying Expansión in the celebration of its anniversary, which featured on this occasion the presidency of Mr. Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, Prime Minister of Spain.

Held at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid, the event was attended by the main representatives of the business sector in Spain, such as José María Álvarez-Pallete (Telefónica), Florentino Pérez (ACS), Luis Gallego (Iberia), Antonio Vázquez ( IAG), José Manuel Entrecanales (Acciona), Francisco Reynés (Naturgy), Ignacio Garralda (Mutua Madrileña), Gonzalo Gortázar (Caixabank) and Pablo Isla (Inditex), among others, as well as the attendance of eight members of the Government: Nadia Calviño, Minister of Economy and Business; María Jesús Montero, Minister of Finance; José Luis Ábalos, Minister of Development; Magdalena Valerio, Minister of Labour, Migrations and Social Security; Fernando Grande Marlaska, Minister of the Interior; Meritxell Batet, Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Function; Dolores Delgado, Minister of Justice; and María Luisa Carcedo, Minister of Health, Consumers and Social Welfare.

The Prime Minister participated in the event to break down before the business community the main transformations that the Executive branch considers necessary in Spain and that are part of its Agenda for Change: “education, labour market, financing of the Welfare State, ecological transition and a Constitutional reform that expands rights and unites the country “.

In addition, Pedro Sanchez announced the presentation of an ambitious economic plan in the coming weeks that will begin with reforms in the labour market legislation, which will affect the drastic simplification of the number of contracts and the substantial reduction in the number of bonuses and deductions for recruiting’.

Antonio Fernández Galiano and Ana Isabel Pereda, president of Unidad Editorial and director of Expansión, respectively, also took part in the event to highlight the constitutional framework of rights that prevails in Spain and the essential role of the media, and in this case, of Expansion, in defence of the interests of entrepreneurs, managers and investors, “key pieces for prosperity generation”.

 

Manuel Broseta, President of BROSETA, accompanied the Prime Minister during the dinner, which was also attended by Rosa Vidal, managing partner of BROSETA, and partners Antonio J. Navarro, Julio Veloso, Carlos Diéguez, Miguel Geijo, Patricia Gualde, José Manuel Copa, Carlos Gutiérrez and Jesús Carrasco.
